On the Go Garren

Garren is filled with the desire to be apart of everything, especially a team. He loves soccer, percussion ansemble, performing arts, campouts for boy scouts, playing baseball in the backyard with all the neighbors, reading books like "The Lightning Thief" series and doing cool things with his Dad. He is a smart little cookie and seems to really enjoy school. Of course, I think he likes the socializing more than anything. Garren loves all things active and jumps into any sport and does well. His down side is that he gets frustrated a little too fast. A bit of a perfectionist like his Dad I suppose. Most of the time Garren is fun, carefree, happy and ready to play.

Picture is of Garren after his performance in the School House Rock Musical. Garren was Bill and did a solo number of "I'm just a Bill, yeah I'm only a Bill, and I'm sittin here on capital hill...". Those Saturday cartoons were the best.

Lessons in Lauren

Lauren likes a little bit of everything in life. During her spare time she likes to play Polly Pockets, bake or cook anything Mom is daring enough to allow, paint or create...again, anything Mom will allow, ride her bike or scooter, help Dad on a project, hangout with brother (if he allows), play with friends, take care of friends babies, plan Family Home Evening, sell anything, design her own brilliant rules for everything, and eat sugar, sugar and even more sugar. Lauren is definetly made of sugar and spice and everything nice...oh yeah, and a few puppy dog tails too; she really likes getting dirty. The other day, Lauren leaned over and whispered in my ear, "Mom, don't tell anybody, but I think I'm a little bit of a tom-boy". Perhaps she is right, except for the fact that she loves nail polish, makeup, dresses, dancing, is afraid of spiders, and other very girly girl things. All in all, she is a very well rounded little lady and we love her for it.

What's new or buggin?

Lauren became a star today as she sang a solo (This Ring Around MyFinger) inSacrament meeting this morning. Although I am her byast mother, I must tell you she did a fabulous job. All the poor women had racoon eyes when it was over and couldn't seem to stop the tears from running down their faces. A guy behind us said(in a whisper to himself), wow, that was awesome. Honestly, I didn't even know Lauren could sing so well.
